The big Black Friday deals might not start dropping until November 29 - but check out my Editor's Picks for the best early Black Friday deals on office chairs. Having tested the best office chairs, I've added some of them here, including a big saving on the Razer Enki at Amazon.com - a gaming chair with a professional style. It's also discounted on Amazon.co.uk, but I'm not sure how long it'll last.

We're still tracking every big retailer and niche outlet for the best Black Friday office chair deals that remain. But if you’d like to start your own search, we’ve selected some of the best office chair retailers from the US and UK – from the big brands with huge ranges to specialist outlets with in-depth knowledge.
Office chairs are generally not the most expensive, but they are available at various prices. If you’re shopping on a budget, you only have to spend between $100 and $200 to get an office chair with some ergonomic features, but it’s entirely possible to shell out between $500 and $1000 if you’d like every feature and stylish design.
Not every office chair will benefit from a huge discount. As a general rule, find a chair you like and anticipate its price to drop by around 20% - anything beyond that is a bonus. That means you’ll save around $20 or $40 on an office chair that costs $100 or $200. For a $750 unit, a 20% discount would reduce the price to $600.
Before you open your wallet, it’s worth figuring out exactly what kind of office chair you need – because if you narrow down your choices, you won’t spend as much time shopping around.
Consider everything you need from your new office chair. It must include ergonomic features like lumbar support and a neck pillow. You should also consider adjustability options – crucial if you want to change your chair’s height, armrest position, or seating angle.
Beyond that, think about the material of your new chair: some will be made from soft fabric that’s comfortable but tricky to clean, while others will have a mesh that’s better for airflow and cooling. And make sure that any new chair will be large enough to accommodate you comfortably.
Once you’ve chosen a new office chair, it can be tempting to head to Amazon, find the product, and immediately click the Buy Now button, but that’s not necessarily the best method if you want to buy a new office chair with the biggest discount possible.
Take a gander at different office chair retailers because you often spot your chosen chair at a lower price on a different site.
It’s not just about the price. While many big retailers match prices across products, lots also offer extra incentives, like free gifts and bundled extras. If you spot one of those deals, it could add value when the office chair has the same price across many different outlets.
You may have found your chosen chair at a great price in the middle of October, but don’t hit the Buy button immediately – discounts tend to get better as the month rolls on, and you’ll usually find deeper discounts around Black Friday itself.
If you cannot wait to see if a better price emerges, consider buying your chair early, keeping it in its box, and buying the same chair again if it’s available at a lower price. You can always send the first chair back for a refund.
There are other options if you want to save cash, too. It’s worth investigating older models of your chosen chair – last year’s kit will often have many of the same features. Similarly, check to see if more affordable chairs in the range offer most of the features you need at a more palatable price.
There are a number of key factors when figuring out how to choose an office chair.
MaterialsOffice chairs come in a range of materials, with leather, fabric, and mesh fabric being the most popular. Given its hard-wearing nature, a smart leather office chair should last a long time. the seat can become hot and sweaty, particularly in the summer months. Fabric office chairs are typically cheaper to buy. However, neither material offers the breathability of mesh office chairs, which are popular for those sitting for extended hours.
Adjustability If you're looking for the maximum possible comfort from your chair, check all the adjustability options. Some chairs offer only basic adjustability such as an up-and-down movement; others offer no customization at all. However, try to choose one that offers plenty of options for personalizing the comfort of the chair. This includes seat height, recline features, locking mechanisms, and tilt control.
Lumbar and back supportOne of the main reasons for buying an office chair is the additional lumbar and back support on offer. This prevents unnecessary aches and pains, helping you maintain a good posture when you're sitting down for long periods of time. At its most basic, you'll see office chairs with a curved backrest, giving support to the lower back. Others add additional parts for stronger, more continued support. Some top-rated seats offer dynamic lumbar support, which means the mechanism shifts and moves with your body for constant, real-time back and spinal support when and where you need it.
Height and weightIf you're of average height and weight, you shouldn't need to worry too much about the seat's height range and weight load capacity. Most standard office chairs will afford you the clearance to sit comfortably. If you're a big or tall user, opt for a chair with a seat height of at least 17in but ideally 19in plus.
Warranty and returnsTop office chair suppliers will include a warranty and fair returns policy, so if something goes wrong with the chair, you can easily send it back for repair or replacement. That's even more important when buying a Black Friday office chair deal online, since you can't try it out. While some office chairs have a one-year warranty, it's best to select a desk seat with a longer warranty - we recommend a minimum of three years. Premium models often offer far longer warranties of around 10 to 15 years on core parts of the chair.
BudgetOffice chairs come in a very wide range of prices, from under $100 to over $1000. Generally, you get what your pay for. Cheap seats for desks will lack adjustability and comfortability features which can impact back health, and may not be breathable, robust, or sturdily designed. On the other hand, not everyone needs (or even has room for) a luxury executive office with all the bells and whistles. Choose one balances comfort with your budget. On Black Friday, office chairs deals will be everywhere - and we'll keep highlighting the lowest ever prices and biggest discounts you can find.
