To fully understand the impact Eagle Scout projects have on communities, you need to see to believe. That's why we ask to see Eagle Scout project before-and-after photos — the same photos prospective Eagles are asked to include with their post-project report.

The latest batch of 10 projects — from nine different states — includes renovating church courtyards, filling backpacks for children and repainting a fighter jet.

Who: Seth, Troop 0155, Lindsay, Neb.

What: Seth and his troop volunteers built a prayer garden at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Who: Adam, Troop 55, Glenview, Ill.

What: Adam and his team excavated an area, pulled the trees out, poured a concrete slab and built a storage shed for The Grove Nature Center. The Grove hosts community and educational events, and the shed was needed to store tables, chairs and equipment.

Who: Sam, Troop 312, Lisburn, Pa.

What: Sam and his helpers built a 15-by-25-foot, two-room building for a local fire company to make and sell sausages in for its annual festival.

Who: Austin, Troop 611, Owensboro, Ky.

What: Austin and his helpers from his troop and Pack 3273 stuffed backpacks with goodies for children going into the foster care system. They filled 150 bags.

Who: Sam, Troop 889, Chicago, IllinoisWhat: Sam and his fellow Scouts and friends renovated a church courtyard. They installed artificial turf, built a meeting table and benches, and made a devotional shrine for the space, which is now being used frequently for gatherings.

Who: Jalslyn, Troop 60, New Port Richey, Fla.

What: Jalslyn and her helpers cleaned up a lot and built a flag retirement fire pit and two memorial pergolas with benches in Hudson, Fla.

Who: Max, Troop 506, San Diego, Calif.

What: Max and his helpers restored a public garden by deconstructing and disposing of old planter boxes, building new planter boxes, digging trenches, laying out a functional irrigation system and shoveling compost onto the new planter boxes. The project prompted the school garden club to restart.

Who: Fuller, Troop 298, Atlanta, Ga.

What: Fuller and his helpers cleared out overgrown flower beds, planted perennial flowers and a vegetable garden for Our House, a shelter for unhoused families with young children.

Who: Ryan, Troop 395, Austin, TexasWhat: Ryan and his helpers repainted an F4C Phantom aircraft at VFW Post 3377 in Austin. He worked with one of the former pilots to restore the aircraft to how it looked when it was flown in Vietnam.

Who: Evan, Troop 2061, Stony Point, N.Y.

What: Evan and his volunteers repaired a concrete structure and built a pavilion on the grounds of the historic Stony Point Town Hall.
